I'm randall from las vegas.I've done a lot of canoeing and sailing and would like to build a skin on frame touring kayak.I'm really tall and weigh 240, if anyone has any experience building for someone my size I'd like your advice.

I believe that Joel from Black Dog Kayaks is something like 6' 10" tall or something comical like that.  I think he posted his general weight either here or in e-mail to me - but it seems to be in your balk park (maybe a little less).

I'm shorter, but fatter (5' 11" @ 265lbs.) -- but, I haven't built a boat for me - just a boat for my daughter that wasn't a BDK kit.
 
(So, basically - I'm of no help from here out.  Cheesy)

Yes, Joel is 6'10 and 240 pounds.  He paddles the Greenland and the Madeline (prototype).
