Designed along the lines of the traditional Greenland style kayak, with a low rear deck, hard chines, and a shallow-V hull, our low volume kayak is just the ticket for the builder who wants an easy-to-build, traditional looking kayak. The Black Dog Greenland style kayak is a true performer - fast, lightweight, and easy to roll.

If you would prefer to skin the kayak with ballistic nylon order the Nylon Kit, and we will provide you with enough ballistic nylon to skin your kayak. Ballistic nylon makes it easier to get a wrinkle free finish. Please note that the ballistic nylon needs to be finished with a urethane, varnish, or similar finish, which is not included in the kit. This has been a popular option with our builders who want a more traditional finish for their Greenland Style Kayak.
